Hitesch Jain

Research Grants Facilitator
Office of Research Services, Brock University

Hitesh is a Research Grants Facilitator Brock University. At Brock, he is primarily responsible for working with university faculty in obtaining grants for conducting research. He is also responsible for technology transfer at the institution. In this role, he provides intellectual property protection advice to faculty, conducts technology assessments, helps develop commercialization plans, develops relationships with industry, and assists with IP protection activities.

Prior to joining Brock University, Hitesh spent 5 years as the Senior Research Analyst with Vista Science and Technology. With Vista, he was responsible for conducting commercialization assessments for clients across all technology sectors. He has conducted over 100 technology reviews/analyses/assessments/valuations and has developed commercialization strategies for technologies in the information technology, life sciences, medical devices, agriculture and manufacturing sectors. Hitesh has also worked as a Research Associate with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where he assisted on a project that focused on non-chemical control of pests in vineyards and orchards.Hitesh obtained a Masters degree in Forestry from the University of Toronto and a Bachelors of Science degree from Brock University.
