Bob Civak
Director, Business Development and Commercialization
Materials and Manufacturing Ontario
A graduate of McMaster University, Bob Civak joined the Ontario Centres of Excellence in 1991 after a fifteen year career with three large multinational corporations and a consulting practice that in 1989 won a small business of the year award. For the past 14 years, Mr. Civak has been putting together research partnerships between industry and universities and has been responsible for commercializing new technologies developed by Ontario universities. He is a member of both the Association of University Technology Managers and The Licensing Executive Society where he has given several presentations, workshops and seminars.
The Ontario Centres of Excellence Inc. is a not-for-profit, non-share Ontario Corporation established to develop sustainable economic advantage and build wealth for the people of Ontario. OCE Inc. achieves this through the development of R&D collaborations between industry and academia, training highly qualified people (HQP), assisting technology transfer, and facilitating the commercialization of new technologies
